Tyrseus Application
#1
Discord Id - God_Ares
Previous Characters: Shakran should suffice, but also Houkakougin Tokoyami is another memorable on.
Character Name -We require role-play appropriate names. Names using odd characters or capitalization are not allowed.
Character Race & Sub-Race- Hoggur - Minotaur
Alternate Graphic: Minotaur
Character Description -
In human form: he is about 6'2 in height. His Bronzed skin a testament of a man that has fought, endured and lived to tell the tale of the days in the fighting pits of Andus. The reddish hue in the small homes on his temples adds to his namesake, as the real blood, his legacy, was spilled in the Gladiatorial arenas.
In True Form: As a Minotaur in his true form, he stands close to 8 1/4 feet tall, and the first thing you notice is the massive horns protruding from the sides of his head. The red horn texture just like the one in his human form is said to be the blood spilled in the Gladiator pits. The raven black mane of hair, long and wild, flows freely down his back and over his shoulders. The next thing that draws your attention is the massive hooves for feet and the massive hands that end in razor-sharp claws. Despite this intimidating appearance, the deep calming voice while soothing and attention-grabbing also commands attention the moment it calls warriors to arms, echoing and piercing the cries on the battlefield.
His features in human, as well as minotaur form, are muscular, more so as a minotaur, and you get the sense that while very large in size he can move much faster than expected, however anyone that knows Hoggur might thing differently. in both forms, he has a black tail covered in short black fur which as a Minotaur he uses to swat at those wishing to flank him from his blind spots.
Shard Plot Line (Strengths & Weaknesses)- He is by default weak to gold due to his race. He is also somewhat weak against those with extremely high agility as his size and bulk don't allow him to move gracefully. If running in a straight line he can build up a lot of speed, but if it requires chasing someone through twists and turns he's more likely to run into buildings and wreck his surroundings from crashing into them. He hates the cold and being in such environments, and thrives in warm weather and feels invigorated.
Special Role-play Ability- His battle roar gives him berserker rage in which his Rp stats are boosted +10 to constitution, strength, and dexterity, but hinders his ability to use skills that require intelligence/wisdom checks. This can be accomplished with in-game mechanics using a bless spell (if I can ever cast one lol)
Previous World - He comes from planet earth from the ancient greek lands near the Mediterranean. His kind was long lost to legend and just a memory of is current people's storybooks, but somehow one day a bright flash of light pulled him from a battlefield where he and his allies had engaged the demi-gods, and he woke up face down, naked in the sandy dunes of Andus in human form.
Backstory - Tyrseus felt himself floating in the void wondering how he even got there, and devoid of any concept of time. Silence and darkness were his friends, and while he didn't feel corporeal he did feel at peace. He would dream if you could even dream in this state, of past deeds. He would recall glorious battles against the hordes of humans invading his lands, or of the sieges he and his allies laid against the children of the Gods. So, beloved, they were while his kind had been forsaken and reduced to mere monsters in the eyes of humans and their allies and their numbers were but few now.
Suddenly he began to feel warmth at what you would guess is his core. a small dim light appeared and began glowing and growing brighter, and brighter. Then, as if someone tried to rip him to pieces he felt drawn and pulled toward an invisible point in the darkness and with a bright flash found himself falling from the sky toward the earth. It wasn't a great fall, and he seemed to have landed on very hot sand that cushioned the fall ever so slightly. Every bone in his body felt like it had been broken from that ordeal. He lay there for what felt like hours. Unable to move from the pain, and I believe that is all that was keeping him alive. That will to live. It was too much to bear after a while and he started fading away until darkness finally welcomed him with its endless embrace.
When he woke up he was in a dark cool cell, and he felt chains and iron cuffs on his wrists and legs. He had been chained face down to the stone floor and as he began to mutter curses in ancient greek the voice of a man behind him spoke. It sounded muffled at first but as the man repeated his question a few times he finally found he could understand him. "You're finally awake arent you man-beast! Good..." the Lanista said. "My trade caravan found you in the fund an inch from your death and brought you to me. We thought you were just a mere human bu as your wounds began to heal you started to change into your current form and we found out we had a Minotaur on our hands! You will bring me much fortune you will. If you're any good with a blade you just might live long enough to honor the blood running in your veins and bring good fortune and wealth to our Ludus." He could feel the weight of the chains and could tell that he was not the first of his kind to find themselves face down in this cell. Were there more of his people here? The fact that this place knew of his kind and didn't kill him on the spot when he regained his form made him wonder how many others had passed through this place. Where was he?
He attempted to move and get up but not only did the chains feel very taut, but he also didn't have any strength in his muscles and he collapsed from the effort. "Now now my prized bull. Don't go using up all your energy. Save your strength for when you are healed you will begin your training in the ways of the Gladiator. If you are successful and learn everything I have to teach you, you might one day hear the crowds roar your name in the Arena as you stand over the fallen bodies of your opponents. Earn enough Victories... and maybe one day the Herald will grant you your freedom. But that is not something of your concern right now. You'll never see that day unless you heal and get on your feet."

With those last words a heavy door slammed shut and what sounded like heavy bolts were drawn across the door locking him in and swallowing the light. Once again, darkness. Peaceful and endless darkness.

Through the darkness, I am once again born and whole.
