Horticulture (Lyrrin)
#1
In reviewing the horticulture wiki from Grimm, there is a line that says:

"Please note we have completely changed the plant graphics and hues for this system."

I assume that didn't get done ... but probably should.  If I had a need to change the graphics and the hues, it was probably pretty crucial Tongue

On the other hand, its possible that the new horticulture in UO is way better then what we implemented.  I took a quick run around UO guide to see if I could see anything hue wise that had me wanting to scream, but I didn't notice any issue.

This isn't a hurry but worth checking.

Looking AGAIN ... and it does say RED, GREEN and ORANGE LEAVES here ...

If they are actually colored rather then SAY they are colored, I am going to want to fix that.

The resources (green thorns, red petals, orange petals) are indeed bright green/red/orange.

The colors currently implemented are default OSI. Here's what the colors look like on each plant: https://uo2.stratics.com/skill-guides/sk...nt-colors/

It looks like the hues and graphics used in the current code do NOT match the Grimm code. Grimm uses different hues. Grimm also made some new plants (like heather). There are more plants currently implemented than were on Grimm.

Currently Implemented
All plants listed in the link above (generations 1-4, bonsai)
"Peculiar" plants which are growable from seeds dropped as loot, but not breedable. https://uo2.stratics.com/skill-guides/sk...iar-seeds/

Implemented in Grimmwold
Plants with default graphics:
Campion Flowers, Poppies, Snowdrops, Lilies, all the bonsai trees

(New) plants with new graphics:
Orfleur (3205)
Snowdrop Patch (15814)
Orfleur Patch (3265)
White Poppies (15813)
Foxglove (3210)
Cornflower (15797)
Curly Foxglove (15816)
Chamomile (15202)
Bluebells (15817)
Purple Rose (9036)
Red Rose (6377)
Cornflower Patch (15205)
Heather (6809)

Grimmwold did not have the "peculiar" plants or any "generation 1-4" plants except those listed

I *think* this would be a simple copy/paste to replace hues and add the Grimm plants. We just have to decide if we are keeping the other plant types and the peculiar plants.

Ok. Let’s remove the book from the vendor that sells it and move this to game wish list.

Then when we start tackling that list we can make a decision. This is a pretty low priority craft.

I'm moving this to the new systems wish list, what we have in game now hasn't annoyed me yet, so we'll just leave it for now.

Current “brights” are a little on the obnoxious side, colorifically speaking.  But nothing fuzzy or spangled.
