Great House Application: The Court of Jormungandr
#1
Name of House
The Court of Jormungandr

Which Kingdom do you hope to rule / Which Noble House do you intend to support?

Our goal as a Great House is to establish ourselves in Golmeuse and find allies; perhaps a Royal House to support while we make sense of this new gathering of Hoggur.

What God or Goddess are you hoping to place on the Arcanum Crystal?

Jormungandr / The World Serpent

Player Names

Wormwood (Grub Hogwater Spittledrum), OPEN, OPEN

Brief History

After knowing the boot of other humanoids on their necks for so long, on so many other worlds the Goblinoids, Giants and other Hoggur races that find themselves pulled here are drawn to the relative safety and fellowship offered by the Court of Jormungandr.

The native Hoggur, to mimic and mock the other great houses, established a court with a king and advisors; roles that quite often change hands due to inner court betrayals, a different race wanting leadership or simple general incompetence.  Sometimes the role of king lands in the lap of a greedy merchant, other times a war chief.   It takes wit, strength and cunning to hold the Court together under one banner for very long before the factions break into fights born of animosity.

Most Hoggur find themselves turned easily to the worship of Jormungandr. The native Hoggur believe by dwelling deeper and deeper into the world they become closer to Jormungandr as they slowly carve out more and more of their realm with each pickaxe blow.   It is common for non-natives to cling to the worship of their own gods but most races finally come to the understanding that Jormungandr offers them the most here.

Membership Target
Any Hoggur, Half-Hoggur, those with an interest in a wackier, darker, grubbier side of roleplay.  Giants, ratmen, lizardmen, minotaur, goblins, orcs, gremlins, imps, gargoyles, dwarves, gnomes, snakes, lizards, ogres, trolls… really anything goblinoid, giant, hoggur.

RPCSS Army Units

Confirmed, we understand about the human-form units and how these will be connected to UO spawn, functioning as champ spawns.  We will use them as Hoggur in human glamour or hired men/mercenaries/soldiers fighting for our cause.

Story

“All Hails da Under King, Throg the Paunch!  First of hims name!”

A long-curled ram horned is blown over the madness of shifting bodies filling up the great hall of a cavern, giants towering over goblins, minotaurs arguing with ogres.  The creatures collectively part to allow passage through them, some taking to benches, or snorting through thick noses and wide nostrils as an unnaturally fat goblin, sporting a obnoxiously long blood stained cape, waddles past them; stepping over broken clay mugs and refuse.

Stumbling over his feet, the goblin uses a smaller gremlin as something of a crutch, climbing the stairs up to a stone throne, surrounded by piles of bones, tarnished gold coins and other offerings in copper pots and sealed jars.  Grabbing the arm of the throne, the King kicks the thing to the side with a squeal, it stumbles down the stairs, falling flat on its face and the throne room erupts with sounds of bellowing laughter.  Grinning he turns to the crowd and slides down into the straw stuff cushioning, tapping a long scepter against the floor before him.

“First order of business, mud wrestling tourney delayed due to lack of booze.  Brewers need works double time until stocks is restored.  Giants, Ogres, Trolls no get booze until next court, or till tourney!

Grunts of anger and rumbles of protest sound from the larger, hulking figures but out numbered by the orcs, goblins and other races they decline to make a move for the throne.  This doesn’t stop a trio of Ogres from clubbing a laughing rat-kin to unconsciousness.  The rest of the crowd just watches with morbid interest as the Ogres, with gleeful faces tear handful of fur from it’s pelt.  A few ratmen go to draw weapons, making for the Ogres but a Cyclops towering over both parties steps in the way, sporting a pike nearly as tall as the ceiling is high.  It only takes one squint of that single eye to detour them.

“Thank yous General Gor!   Ontos  dee second orders of business….”
