[split] Herding/Butchering
#1
Butchering: Works....Sort of!

You can kill fattened animals, use a dagger or cleaver on them to get a hide covered body, take them to a butchering station and harvest the hides/wool first ... then click on them with a dagger again to cut out the meat from the corpse body. It also finishes giving the meat long before the actual corpse is used up, so you could actually drop the corpse on the ground and walk away without using up the corpse. Trying to harvest meat from the corpse again doesn't result in any extra meat but likely still gives a chance at skill gains until the chops noises finish up I imagine.

I did not track skill or see any skill gain, even at 0.0 skill. The below tests were done as my staff character already with likely max skill cap - butchering skill just set at the 120/50/0 level.

(Fun Fact: Staff Duplicated, already dead animal corpses in your pack result in corpses that will not give you meat or hides)

All Skills Below are "Show Real" so 0.0 set in .props is really 25.0.

At 120 skill: Quantities might need tweaking unless we just leave them since normal animals in this version unlike Grimmwold drop hides and meat.

We are going to need to copy butchering from the wayback machine for Grimmwold to sanctuary and double check that its the same.

I will do that in a bit and post the link.

I have created the herding page:

http://www.sanctuaryshard.com/index.php?title=Herding

What we need done is the locations to be updated correctly. At the moment I have them struck out because I don't know where we are going to put this stuff. I think we had honey combs somewhere south east of the villages in the area with all the grass and flowers, but I can't remember look around.

When this page is accurate let me know and we can archive this post.

Is this now resolved Wormwood?

I copied over the Grimmwold page and linked it above.
Is there something that needs to be resolved or looked at? or documented?

I believe this is a closed topic, Mithril checked the scripts and said that it works both like OSI herding as well as Grimm's resources.
