Hi!
I noticed that when I locked down a book in my shop, there is no way to open or read the book after that. I tested trying to open the book myself, and had a few other players try it, as well.
I tried moving the book into my shopkeeper's inventory (just to see), and it was unreadable/unable to open there, either.
Seems like books can not be accessed when they are secured or locked down. You can only SEE the physical book, but cannot open it.
