Along the same lines as the leather dye thread could something be added to change the color of metal armor? For example "enamel paints" (artistry) or "gilding" (smithing)?
It would be nice to use a higher level metal for armor and weapons but not be another light blue smurf.
Also, nothing ruins an outfit like finding that perfect magical helm that just doesn't match your gold armor.
Wasn't thinking anything crazy... gilding would be limited to current ore colors. Enamel paints could be another color set for variety.
Nice gold sink too...both could be reset when the item is repaired requiring another application.
