Recent History

The city of Tarasinau has been bittersweet  In recent history, famine and blight ruined a majority of the large farm fields cutting down on exports.  Crops were wilted from an unnaturally wet season at harvest, infested with fungus and insects making nests. Flooding saturated the grounds over running in the rivers with the amount of rain that kept the Kingdom of Raeithyia dark and dreary.

The curse that ravished these lands, and the hope of it's people, is slowly becoming, just a faint memory. The Eviction of the Thorn King has been reflective of many great changes. The most recent rulers, reigned for a few short months as sisters.

Lilitu was born on the shores of Raeathyia, among the muck and mire. At the edge of the swamp, she crawled from the water, re-birthed into this Sanctuary. Finding the dirt road winding to Tarasinau's East Gates. After recovering from such a transition from one world, to another, this one.. she bound herself spiritually,  to a tree in a sacred location of Raeithyia, where her roots grow deep - a highly coveted secret.

Lilitu became known as the Guardian, vigilant in keeping the people of Raeithyia safe, she is often seen traveling this enchanted kingdom gathering herbs and patrolling the swamp forests.

Holidays & Festivals (Sourced from player "Cele" she can be found on discord)

⦁ End of Summer Festival (Lammas)
-- Celebrating fruitful harvests! This is generally an event that occurs spread out over the last few weeks of summer in Raeyithia. The Hunt facilitates an inter-House series of gatherings that includes jousts, feasting, dancing, competitions of every variety, and theatrical performances.

⦁ The Masque of Phantoms (Samhain)
-- Occurring nearer to the end of autumn and approaching Samhain, Raeyithia celebrates in the capitol with an extravagantly elegant and theatrical masquerade ball. All are welcome for this grand event; though violence is generally gently frowned upon (unless it's particularly entertaining).

A proclamation moves through the streets of Tarasinau, rippling out amongst the estates and villages of Raeyithia, and lapping languidly at the edges of other kingdoms.

Queen Caelestia has returned to the throne.

Some wonder how her reign will proceed in the absence of her sister's good nature and softer graces. Some say a call has already gone out, bringing many troops back to the Capital and that the horn of the Wild Hunt bellows once more.

Others wonder what has happened to Queen Lilitu and Princess Leilani. Their grove has remained cared for and undisturbed.
