Brief History

Founded approximately four years prior to the current date, the Wild Hunt is an attempt to bring the Muiri together in a community/family that hearkens back to life in the Summer and Winter Courts.

In general, it happens to be that though there are many various Courts within the larger Fey world, most Muiri believe themselves to be just a bit superior to other creatures, having "purer" Fey bloodlines. Many of the Fey Folk believe that other woodland beings (Aelfeyn, for example), are merely aping the traditions and activities of the “true Fey folk.”

Which Kingdom do you hope to rule / Which Noble House do you intend to support, and
What God or Goddess are you hoping to place on the Arcanum Crystal?

With the above in mind, the sisters aimed to not only give the Fey community a safe place to gather but a voice in the Kingdom and the world.  The House ultimately intends to attempt to break the tradition of Raeyithia being ruled by Aelfeyn Lords and Ladies, and put the Muiri into prominence; establishing a more traditional Muiri court structure. Queen Medb (Mab) -- faerie Queen, midwife, and creature of dream and nightmare -- is the dubious figure that the Wild Hunt wishes to place on the arcanum stone.

Target Membership

We are hoping to welcome, and perhaps focus on, newer players/those who are interested in Muiri Court intrigues, and particularly crafting of all kinds! We love tailoring, cooking, and making wines -- we would love to help new players (and their characters) grow and feel supported. They, in turn, can help to support the House and aid in its collective goals. We fully support ALL types of crafting, and welcome it -- just no ironworks!

Those who enjoy the vibrant warmth of a crackling fire, the quiet, steady hum of a spinning wheel, the comforting smell of freshly-baked bread, the feel of rich soil between your fingers, the steady rhythm of hammer on metal… those are the souls we seek.

And, of course, the Fey Folk of either Court -- or no Court -- are welcomed with open arms, provided they’re able to behave!

Armed Forces

For those who have seen the ride of the Wild Hunt in action, it may appear as nothing short of chaos; but to the trained eye, it is a well-planned and executed military maneuver consisting of multiple companies and moving parts.

Titles -- These are a work in progress, but *could* be decided/tweaked through in-game council.

*Master/Mistress of the Hunt -- Commands all forces overall, generally. (Tentative)

In our lore, we would hire mercenaries/sellswords/interested fighters to fill our ranks, in order to protect our land claim. The RPCSS system is now more clearly understood by the three of us. (Player characters would be able to help control and direct the NPC armies, in order to protect the House.)

Pure crafters and None of the Above: We completely understand that there may be those who simply wish to craft, or not participate in “military”-related actions. For this group, alternate ways of supporting the Wild Hunt can be discussed with them -- there is no penalty for not being interested in this area of the House! We welcome all interests and skill sets.

Story

Caelestia leaned back in her chair, mindful of her wings, as she stretched sore muscles. A glance to the window showed that morning had given way to mid-afternoon, and though she’d managed to audit the estate and household accounts, she had not yet had a chance to look over the reports from the field officers.

She smiled a little wryly to herself. Field officers was exceedingly generous, they were mercenaries at best and human at that. The smile soured into a scowl. A detail she did not particularly enjoy, but a necessary evil at present. With a sigh of resignation and another glance over the scrolls that littered one corner of her desk, she stood and turned toward the door. It had been some time since any skirmish of note; the reports could wait until later.

In the courtyard she spied her sister ankle deep in a tub of grapes, her head tossed back as she laughed toward the sky. A dryad and a nymph laughed with her as the three smashed the purple globules beneath bare feet. Katya waved happily, amber wings askew and casting golden flecks of light across the cobbles.

Caelestia waved back as she headed toward the main crafting hall. She could hear voices and laughter from the open doors, mixed with the sounds of joyous work. She only paused for a few moments to peer in at the people they had gathered around them, working side by side and creating some of the most beautiful crafts Fey or human eyes had ever seen.

With a bow of her head to the few who had noticed her presence she slipped by and toward the great hall, where she needed to speak with the cooks regarding dinner. They would be hosting dignitaries from other Houses and may even have a guest or two from another Kingdom, and everything had to be just right. There was no room for error or offense when alliances were on the line.

Disclaimer
If you are accepted to run a house in RPCSS there will be weekly requirements for your participation. They are: holding a 2 hour council chamber meeting open to anyone who needs to role-play with you, posting a short rumor/status on the shard newsletter, and submitting your RPCSS actions. Please sign that you understand the requirements and agree to them.

Signed, by the above listed members!
