The RP ability isn't necessarily something that's supported by mechanics, but rather something unique about your character that is completely roleplayed. In your example, we don't have a way for your character to smelt metal without an actual crafting area and forge nearby.
Other than that, this looks good! Thumbs up, pending the ability adjustment.
