Currently, the paintings jump in 20 pt blocks. ie, 40, 60, or 80 skill needed.
Given that we get the book skills at 80, I thought it might make more sense for the advanced paintings that are currently craftable at 80, would be nice to get at either 70 or 75, so you can craft something 'new and exciting' during those last points before you reach book level (and most likely start doing 'other things').
