With each scout sent to scout somewhere, when you go back in to send a second, third, fourth scout the map you select the hexs on gets increasing whiter as another layer is added to it I think.    

When I tried to send my 5th scout I could barely see any of the hexes and just could make out the keep names (barely).

Yeah, this is something I will be fixing, but will take some time. To get around it, go to the dashboard, then back to your Spymaster screen and it should reset it.
