Raedoria, which is the castle in question is right on the "traditional" border of Raeyithia and Kraestret and on what might have once been an extended border for Emlyn. You can realistically swear to any of the three kingdoms, but RPCSS is about shifting borders, making allies, and politics.
By choosing Emlyn over Raeyithia you must indicate that you are potentially starting off in conflict.
