Currently, when setting up a house, the default puts the sale sign stupidly low.  After a bit of testing and discussion, it looks like the easiest way to deal with this, would be to disconnect that part of the script that automatically moves and lowers the for sale sign when you pick where the (purchased) house sign goes, on the fourth tab, "Sign Location".  (It does not change the sign locations if they are manually moved after setup.)
