I was told to post here about an issue to consider.  

At the moment, each piece of granite you dig up weighs 10 pounds each.  Makes it a little difficult to transport, but probably a bigger issue with selling it on a vendor since a mere stack of 10 of it would weigh 100 pounds.

Fixed for next update: Weight of granite has been lowered from 10 to 4, which matches Rounded Stone.
