I think the greater dragons could use a look at for loot drop based on difficulty.  The gold is about twice the reg dragon but magical items are less likely to be of any decent quality if there are any magical even on them.  I do not think I have ever gotten a good thing from them.
And not sure if fame and karma are kicking over for them correctly as well. 

I do not mind how hard they are.  Just think risk / reward is not correct.
