History and Current Status for Estervern Estate

About

Estervern, a forested land of dark shadowy dells, bright sun-kissed glades and stories shared around a campfire far from sight. Situated within the Kingdom of Midrvegr, this forest of multiple tree and animal species covers a vast area and unless you knew your way to a village or the Keep, you could ride straight through assuming the place uninhabited. The land is home to a scattering of small villages and camps nestled among the trees, these in turn are watched over by Estervern Keep, peering out across the canopy at the center of the forest. 

History

It is unknown what happened to the previous occupants of Estervern Keep, when Darkmane found it in neglect and disrepair. He however, with the help of the villages, set about restoring it, taking the role of Jarl. Protector of Estervern, it's tree covered land and the varied inhabitants that call it home.

Relations

Ultimately Estervern answers to the capital Andalstad, however the new Jarl has worked to keep good relations with most of the regions, especially with the neighbouring Kingdom of Kraestret.

More recently, Estervern has formed a strong relationship with the Kingdom of Raeyithia. The Lord Darkmane becoming quite close to Queen Lilitu and her Hearthmother Elliana.
