Bearskin Rug Deeds - Parchaa - 09-11-2019
I so loved bearskin rugs. Any chance we can get them as rare drops in the future?
Might have to way decrease the number of spawned bears though as they are thick as fleas.

I will contribute another 990... Daliya Morskaia. I think it would be cool to see the bear skill rugs drop. I don't think it's exactly the same thing as furs is it?

It's not, the furs are the square "blankets" used on a lot of the static beds (equivalent of hide piles), while the bearskin rugs are.. well... >.>

We had a pretty big selection of furs on Grimm didn't we?
I'm also thinking that perhaps they were part of taxidermy a book skill of butchery?
Lyrrin can you look at the Grimm code and see what was there?

It looks like taxidermy in grimm made wall trophies, i.e. bear head, mounted fish, etc. No bear rugs.
Doing some digging, I found that bear rugs were a BOD reward for tailors. They did not appear to drop as loot.
I cannot find any reference to deco furs dropping as loot or being craftable.

The bear rugs were also random loot on polar bears when you killed them. Many a polar bear died due to this fact.
