was running back to my corpse and I fell in a pit area and there's no way to get out and then mobs converge and kill you. the foliage was too thick to see through.

I have had a look and while most of the time they are surrounded in by impassable tiles, there is the odd spot where you can fall in an not be able to get out. I will have a look at making these particular areas inaccessible to avoid this happening in future.
